@wendy @Olm_e That search engine is actually searching flickr for all cc images. The link I sent allows you to search digitized collections from museums and libraries specifically. Usually of higher quality.

Wikimedia/pedia slurps all of these cc licenses imaged in and integrates them. I will try to look at the mechanisms..

That's a domain I know very little of..

A more ambiguous source is thingiverse. Ambiguous in the sense that anything goes? And the ownership of thingiverse itself .
