Hey there! You may know me from other places, I'm Lime (Lucie) or LimeLimeWire.
I've been around the fediverse since 2017 and been around Lurk since 2018.
I'm a generalist, I like to dig different fields of science and art, mostly linguistics, graphic design, generative art and livecoding. I studied electronics/CS and some chemistry/materials engineering.
Nice to meet y'all!
Managed to install @postmarketOS on my old samsung galaxy s2 this evening. Took quite some time. The pmOS documentation and tooling is really good though. Looking forward to see what one can do with this.
I am so stuck - and tired...😴
DM 's appreciated..

Urban Fish Ponds: Low-tech Sewage Treatment for Towns and Cities
'In the mid 20th century, whole cities’ sewage systems safely and successfully used fish to treat and purify their water. Waste-fed fish ponds are a low-tech, cheap, and sustainable alternative to deal with our own shit — and to obtain high protein food in the process. '
so, a degrowth society is one where everbody gets to eat tilapia multiple times a week?
I made something I wanted to try for a long time for the Feminist Hack Meetings in Rotterdam: an HTML poster generator. The organizers have the basic pattern of the poster on a webpage and they can modify and generate themselves the posters for the other events #webtoprint
> tfw @darius has written a book about your favorite videogame.
JA2 is hands down one of the best and weirdest games made. Released in 1999 people are still modding it over 20 years later. Other studios have purchased the naming rights and developed all kinds of sequels and spin-offs but no one has managed to get even close. The mods are pretty good however (mostly building on never finished features already present in the engine) and one can come back to the game every few years.
Looking forward to read it!
In the Feminist Hack Meeting #1 @mara introduced us to mailing lists migration with Mailman. The migration of feminist lists hosted by the systerserver project was realised successfully and we went through the 'pain' all together! Here are some photos/screenshots from that day.
Thanks to all the participants who joined!
Tune in tomorrow at 18:00 CET to listen your truly talking about The User Condition txt and chat back. The event is also a testing ground for the Narrowcast experimental platform which is currently being put together by people at Varia! https://stream.vvvvvvaria.org
I've been working my way through a set of basic lands on my plotter & I finally finished with Island! I'm selling all 5 basic lands on my store. Each one is unique, numbered & signed, and fit in card sleeves for any TCG that uses lands!
I've been busy so I was only able to create about one design per month. As such they act as a snap-shot of the generative art techniques I was fascinated by at that time.
I do projects on/with/about computers, networks, infrastructures. he/him
