Sergio Bologna ricorda Benedetto Vecchi
ilmanifesto.it/oggi-su-domani-

«Che succede quando hai una religione ma non i fedeli? Predichi ai passeri, sperando che un giorno acquisiscano la parola».
Questo erano le riviste degli anni Novanta. Questo era «DeriveApprodi», come le altre. Codici miniati e prediche ai passeri."

ancora:

"Partecipò (Benedetto Vecchi) alla progettazione e realizzazione dei «giornali di DeriveApprodi» da distribuire in migliaia di copie in occasione dei cortei di massa che si susseguivano: «Immaterial workers of the world», «Ora o may day»..."

questo l'avevamo incorniciato, primavera del 2000

A collection of underground metal deathmetal.org/zines/

"Set your TARDIS to go back to the 1980s or early 1990s. There is no public internet; dial-up bulletin boards are not yet widely known. Your only source of news is either the mainstream, or tiny xeroxed magazines published by citizen volunteers.

Zines were the only source of news about underground metal for a long time. Knitted together by a postal network of letter-writers and tape traders, they united bands and fans for a genre that was too small and too alienated for the mainstream press.

We’ve put together an archive of metal zines from the classic period. It’s a free text directory tree, so there’s no fancy navigation, just the raw PDFs and JPGs themselves."

"The technology of the information-retrieval system that we employ is incredibly primitive. We fumble around in bookshops, we buy magazines or subscribe to them. But I regard myself as starved of information. I am getting a throughput of information in my imaginative life of one-hundredth of what I could use. I think there's an information starvation at present and technology will create the possibility of knowing everything about everything." — J. G. Ballard, 1971

actually, this was not scanned by us. we found the pdfs announced on reddit and published on some evilish file locker.
when you see something cool, published in the wrong place, download it, keep a copy, and upload to Internet Archive.

Why the Second-Hand eBook Market May Never Take Off

"Europe's highest court on Thursday ruled that the exhaustion of copyright does not apply to e-books. "The court says that offering 'second-hand' e-books for sale qualifies as an unauthorized 'communication to the public' under the 2001 InfoSec Directive," reports World IP Review. Not only could this ruling have implications for the book industry, but for the digital film, gaming and music too"
