would anyone like to join an experimental webring? It's called nightwalk and only appears Midnight - 3am for night surfing? details at https://bruise.in/nightwalk.html 🌑
started playing with small AM radio receivers last week as part of drone jam. I wrote a bit about it here (with sound) https://ghostglyph.itch.io/twisted-wire
Would be interested to know if anyone has advice on where to look next for small DIY builds-(I found out about these receivers via @rose_alibi ) or of any writing around radio waves, low frequency AM stuff, linked to WiFi and 3G etc.
Super excited to see the artist book is out. Together with Cornelia Sollfrank , we've contributed our piece called nag_bash as part of The Computer as Seen at the End of the Human Age. Thx to Olle Essvik for the invitation! 🎉

Open call is out for #Constant worksession:
Weak signaaal looks at human and non-human communication practices which play, open-up and wreck linguistic systems while acknowledging their ever-changing, unpredictable and muddy qualities.

I'm doing a keynote presentation at this event https://thephotographersgallery.org.uk/whats-on/concerning-photography-photographic-networks-britain-c-1971-present-day-3 and at first I was truly scared but I think I've calmed down a bit.
this is live now! still a few hosts looking after each of the works, so now is a good time to drop by:

a project I've been working on is going live this evening- 7pm BST. It's a p2p exhibition featuring new commissions from 12 amazing artists.
It's accessed over hyper:// and for the start this evening each of the artists is going to be the single host of one of the other artists works. You navigate around the works like a web ring moving between the different hosts. It has been a really joyful project, exploring a different protocol with a wonderful group of artists and orgs. Would love to know what fellow LURKers make of it if you get a chance to visit.

Hi all, I've been lurking here for a while now, and hadn't got around to an intro post. I'm an artist/writer based in Leicester, UK. I just published a new thing https://bruise.in which is inspired and informed by a lot of the work I see posted in this network. It is an attempt at placing my fiction writing alongside my experimental publishing and network interests. There are three short novels available and some resources/ideas around e-pub research. 🙋🏽
If you missed Episode 1, the stream archive is available on demand now! thanks to Undersco.re for the stream and archive infrastructure ♥

On May 17 Rhizome's Preservation Team will answer audience questions live on the internet: https://rhizome.org/events/from-black-boxes-to-open-systems-ask-rhizome-a-digital-preservation-qa/
We made a notepad where you can write down issues you'd like to discuss: https://notepad.rhizome.org/BBOSIV?edit Or just bring them up during the session.
The session will not be recorded, so nobody has to pretend to know it all. 😅
If you're an artist, digital preservation professional, hobbyist, or just interested in anything related to digital art preservation, tune in—I hope we'll be able to give some useful hints.
https://apod.li/, the library of artistic print on demand, has been just launched. I'm very glad Andreas Bülhoff and Annette Gilbert put together this labor of love. POD, which goes well beyond a system of production and distribution, means a lot to me and it has deeply influenced my work.
