The reading session will discuss and explore different processes through which today’s techno-linguistic machine shapes and operates our social body.

Taking cues from the books, images and plays that dealt with the windhandel we will collectively make inflatable sculptures while thinking about the ways in which finance’s infrastructures have infiltrated intimate realms of our lives, hoping that the wind can offer us a more collective, new type of speculative imagination.

hi all, today at 19pm (NYC time) there is a talk of Silvia Federici with Ray Craib (author of Adventure Capitalism: A History of Libertarian Exit, from the Era of Decolonization to the Digital Age) that might super interesting and relevant.

Not done with the book but so far excellent!

It makes so much sense Federici jumps in this topic given the unprecedented speed and financial aggresivity in which the digital commons are being assetised via the exit communities represented by blockchain culture and "defi".

Paul Slocum, software developer who has been curating, conserving, and selling digital art since 2006 wrote an excellent and extensive survey of the effects and problems in the takeover of networked culture by creepto-capital.

He couldn't find a suitable publication for his critical perspective which speaks volumes about the state of media institutions which made a name and raise funding precisely promoting the opposite values to those of blockchain culture and now are totally integrated and participating in the cultural and economic distortion described by Paul.

I have a new net.art piece live now as part of the INDEX Media Arts Biennial.

‘Finger Plays’ uses the finger protocol as a gateway into a generative poetic micro-world. Each finger request creates a new short text which is added to a growing log file. On the website you can browse the log file and hear a generative score/sound art work accompanying the text.
