What is currently the most useful links/ressources that you send to a person that want to know more about the #fediverse?
By example https://davidwolfpaw.com/getting-started-on-mastodon/ seems interesting.
one issue I have on #linux is PDF rendering. It takes loong time with hi-res PDFs. I tried Document Viewer, Okular, etc. and I ended up using the js pdf viewer embedded in Firefox, which is super fast
@crickxson a short chronology of the #book as new medium here: http://p-dpa.net/a-short-history-of-the-codex-as-new-medium/ ;)
@entreprecariat Yeah, if the software was not sold as a service - the Venezuala would only be cut off from the new sales and updates - but would be able to use the software. However I don't see this as Adobe's fault - it's the US Government forcing this. But indeed the Software As A Service model sucks and makes this situation orders of magnitude worse. I hope it'll make the consumers less tolerant of such a business model. I think as a community we should help Venezuela find libre solutions.

Dear fellow educators: Do you have any advice regarding self-hosting a server for students in a teaching context? Any no-nos or warnings from people who've been there?
We're now setting up a self-hosted tilde.club-like web server for teaching code and web design. We'd love any insight if you have it!
