@automatist @rra @320x200 Thanks for all your help! I'm not the person involved with the coding of the website I'm looking to implement this. But this could sure be helpful to pass on.

I'm looking for a way of archiving and embedding etherpads with the exact same formatting as they where created.
To explain more in detail: currently etherpad allows me to export into html. This however, leaves out significant details like the colors of text showing which user wrote what. Similar, an exported .etherpad file can not be just opened by a browser.
Does anyone have recommendations of how to display online an archived state (with no more editing possible) of an etherpad?

Next Thursday there's gonna be a lan-party like evening of the experimental video-conversation platform ENTER.
Attend this event online or join us @het nieuwe instituut (limited capacity).

@rra I've been back to proprietary soundcloud for now due to lack of patience. Uploading in above named pod did work out after e-mailing the owner. Only speaks french though :D

Tomorrow Tuesday 20:00 @ Radio Worm, electronic merz radio show continues with dark down-tempo played from dusty vinyls and techno as used to be heard in places called 'clubs' long time ago, before the twenties...

Tonight I'll be playing a jungle & Drum and Bass-set with Dennis aka Dancehall Washington!
Tune in 20:00 @ Radio Worm

Tonight at Radio Worm from 20:00 CET : *Electronic Merz* Radio Show.
Featuring dark and bassy electronic tunes with rainy atmospheres. The soundtrack you need to survive the impending lockdown depression!!

Ever wanted to build a stand for your speakers? Ever wanted to build a rack for your own hi-fi set? Ever wanted to read great reviews of current tech that are honest and to the point?
Welcome to one of the few marbles that survived every transformation of the web:

Hello lurkers! Anyone to recommend me a pod in funkwhale to upload episodes of my new weekly radioshow? I tried audio.gafamfree.party but I get an error with every file upload :/

Tomorrow I'm doing a new episode of Caffeine Radio.
This time the cyber-enthusiasm of the 1990's and dreams of an upcoming “internet age” are the topic.
While we may experience it as a nuisance in these times, back then
"working from home" and "socializing remotely" were imagined as a liberating vision of an exciting future!

I'll introduce you to some cyberspace figures and how they imagined these futures to happen.
Next to that I'll also play some tracks by artist who drew their inspiration from these futurologists.

18th of May, 1800-2000 CET. Tune in at www.operator-radio.com!

@rra haha yes good idea. I already stumbled randomly into articles of them from the 1990's. Seems their archive is also for free!

@electronic_mertz Coding Places is a really good book, and relevant for this subject because it addresses the tropes about the spiky world and distributed work through a solid case study https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/coding-places

Hey Lurkers, having a request!

I'm looking for texts of the whole cyber-hype period (80's-90's) where the concept of working/socializing/ being productive from home is being positively embraced as a soon-to-happen utopia. Fiction inspired by that idea is also welcome!

I reckon this being a very present concept at the time. Also remember to hear in lectures of early cyber-hippies who'd be locking themselves in remote cabins with the idea that soon they'd be able to connect to everything from there.

Texts I'm already aware of:
From Counterculture to cyberculture - More historical

The californian ideology - Touches upon it, but only critically

This masterthesis (great stuff!) - scholarlypublications.universi

Researching this in the light of the whole Covid-19 -experiences and how it contrasts to this for my radioshow. Happy for any leads!
