I just moved from @fblchrstn to @derstrudel@post.lurk. I have a background in robotics and neuroscience research, with a focus on dynamic neural fields dynamicfieldtheory.org. I integrate that background into my artistic work, focusing on analog computation, neuromorph hardware and emergent patterns.
Since years i develop and teach electronics to kids and adults, trying to convey a relaxed and curious approach to robotics.
I enjoy car-free living and i love my foldable bike.
Thanks for having me on lurk, forever lurking.

Finally holidays, enjoying the Croatian seaside, nice walks through dry forests and collecting dead sea urchins.
bewildered by traffic jams and cars all over the place, are we the only families who came here by train&ferry?

Looking for your signal-of-being

Two opportunities at Malmö University in Sweden. One in Media & Communication and one in Interaction Design

Great opportunity to develop your own research project in a interdisciplinary environment with good working conditions!

I'm also in this program (Interaction Design) so feel free to ask me questions!

Deadline has been extended till 9th of august! Come work with us in in the great and new study program code & context. As we are striving for more diversity we would especially thrilled about flinta people applying!

job offer at code & context (coco.study) karriere.th-koeln.de/job/view/

a new study program at th-koeln.de. I am teaching here since 2 years and enjoying very much to build-up this program from scratch, quite literally, setting up workspaces, equipment, concepts, courses and our team. You can be part of this adventure by inventing what a studio code will look like.
An important part of this job will be to help students to develop programming skills and hardware knowledge to enable them realize their own ideas, with a focus on agile methods and team work.

Here are some images to give you an idea of the place and of example projects students have worked on so far.

🌲 Hello Fediverse! 🌲

I'm Flynn / Meryl, I live in Scotland and I:
◦ make (photography, drawings, web dev, zines...)
◦ learn (design, IT, sustainability, social sciences...)
◦ exist (by growing plants, cooking, feeling queer, listening to music...)

All three interconnected, and generously sprinkled with sleep.

I am quite passionate about degrowth and low-tech, animals, and tea. Nice to meet you!

Hello hello!

So, first an

I'm Camilo, a visual artist and designer from Bogotá living in Rotterdam. Usually getting lost while learning and making. Drawing is my first impulse when thinking and very often I find myself making connections between things.

These days I´m one half of 'attempt', an intuitive and independent publishing project for written and visual language, and also I'm co-organizing Zine Camp Festival in Rotterdam, a free festival for making zines and sharing small publications.

Happy to be here to start sharing and circulating more processes! 🌱

A really great project focuses on intersectional feminist approaches to coding (w/ 24 recipes) edited by Xin Xin+Katherine Moriwaki. This reminds a poetry line: "When we hear “the singularity is near”, let us remember: the plurality is here." from Audrey Tang

btw, the "Cardinal WebApp" (is that what we should call it?) now features audio input, MIDI and dynamic buffer size changes, all accessible in the engine menu.

Almost viable as a production tool.
With touch events this might get even more useful, need to try to set that up next...

BERLIN: DIY Instrument Meetup/Performance Friday 8-July 8pm-10pm at xHain hackerspace.

My friend Kal Spelletich is in town with his cool stuff -- a great excuse to get together with anyone with DIY instruments of all sorts. See what others do, show what you do, perform, jam, hang out, share. All welcome!

Sharing Web Apps in a chat: Recent releases of Delta Chat (1.30) semi-silently introduced support for "webxdc", a new way to share and run web apps, without leaking any data to third parties. See https://delta.chat/en/2022-06-14-webxdcintro and https://webxdc.org for demos/quickstarts.

The knobs have finally arrived. The second batch of texture drone generators is ready!

Hello fellow farmers 🙂
Poetic*hemistry of Soils ⭍ Soil Chromatography Workshop with Special Guest Oliver Jäggi ⭍ Regenerative Energy Communities Open Lab ⭍
Circular Soil Chromatography is a somewhat poetic way of gleaning information about what's going on in the dirt, using an old-school photographic developing process, and requiring a qualitative analysis method akin to reading tea leaves. We have never done this before, so this will be a DIO / LIT (Do it Ourselves / Learn it Together) summer holiday workshop.
Thankfully we'll have Oliver Jäggi joining us, who also works with big fancy chromatography machines in a chemistry lab that manifests big fancy data, and so we'll be thinking about the tensions around different forms of sensing and analysing our environments too, while the soil-as-photographer manifests nice artworks for us to decode.
Bring a tablespoonful of soil that you would like to analyse or that you think would give interesting results!
More info on and directions to the Open Lab can be found here: regenerative-energy-communitie
