If you run an instance that has closed invitations (by policy, not temporarily due to load or spam), I'd be interested in chatting with you about why your instance is closed, and how/if you allow new members, and what you do for people who you can't/won't let in. (I run a closed instance myself and LOVE it, so I'm just looking to get a sense of current practice, not for debate.) #mastodamins

Towards an anti-fascist AI [quote]
"AI is currently at the service of what Bergson called ready-made problems; problems based on unexamined assumptions and institutional agendas, presupposing solutions constructed from the same conceptual asbestos. To have agency is to re-invent the problem, to make something newly real that thereby becomes possible unlike the probable, the possible is something unpredictable, not a rearrangement of existing facts."

BPW is a #solidarity movement organised by volunteers who support each other based on the conviction that housing is a fundamental right that must be protected.
Please feel welcome to join us for a day of discussion, co-learning and reflection on the #housing situation in #Rotterdam, our rights as tenants and how we can support each other to work towards solutions for more safe, secure and affordable housing.

Networks with an Attitude
---> Public events on 10, 11 and 13/04 in Antwerpen, Belgium
The internet is dead, long live the internets! In 2025, the internet will consist of either gated communities or decentralised independent instances. For those who want to be connected while choosing their own dependencies, there is no other option than to draw up new networks and experiment with both historical and innovative protocols.
Networks with an Attitude is a six-day worksession organised by Constant. During this intensive week we stretch the imagination of what a network is, and what it can be. Three public moments will open up the process, beginning of April.
I wrote a small contribution about chatty therapy bots and the politics of mental health for the new INC publication "State Machines: Reflections and Actions at the Edge of Digital Citizenship, Finance, and Art": http://networkcultures.org/blog/publication/state-machines-reflections-and-actions-at-the-edge-of-digital-citizenship-finance-and-art/
